flareGet Download Manager No Longer Needs to Merge Downloaded File Segments

The latest update brings numerous improvements
  flareGet in action

flareGet 4.0-75, a full-featured, advanced, multi-threaded, multi-segment download manager and accelerator for Linux, has been upgraded and is now available for download.
flareGet is an excellent GUI-based download manager and it's one of the few available for the Linux platform. There are not too many applications like this this one and its makers know this very well. This is probably the main reason you actually need to buy it in order to enjoy all the features.

The application comes with a number of interesting features, like support for multiple protocols, resume and mirror support, YouTube downloader, batch downloads, speed limits, browser integration, and most importantly, file segmentation and multi-threaded downloads. This feature will allow the enhancement of the download speed, although that's true for all the apps enjoying this capability.

Some of the fixes for this version include better file segmentation, the removal of the merging procedure for finished downloads, better browser integration with Opera, improved queue manager, and no more npapi dependency.

A complete list of changes and new features can be found in the official announcement. You can also check out our review of the application. You can download flareGet 4.0-75 right now from Softpedia. As usual, don't forget to restart the application.
