  Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare update adds Master Prestige ranks

Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are announcing that they are delivering a new important update for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PC, the Xbox One and the Xbox 360, which is designed to improve overall game experience and to introduce the new 15 Master Prestige ranks that were teased earlier in the week.

At the moment the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 versions of the same patch are being tested by Sony and will probably be launched during next week.

Sledgehammer Games is also saying that general network connectivity has been improved and that matchmaking has also received an update in order to make sure that gamers can quickly and reliably find others to battle with and against.

A range of weapon balancing changes have also been made, all of them based on the feedback that has been previously offered by the player community.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is also getting updates for its user interface, the maps and other elements of the game and a full list can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

Gamers on the PC are also getting access to all the Havoc content, which introduces four new multiplayer maps for the shooter, the new Exo Zombies mode and more weapons to use.

Sledgehammer Games also says that gamers should continue to offer their feedback on the title in order to make sure that future updates continue to improve the experience.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is getting three more DLC packs

The long term plan for the first-person shooter includes the launch of new downloadable content packs, three of them, which will again expand the number of maps that are offered for multiplayer and will finish the story associated with Exo Zombies.

The addition of the Master Prestige ranks and the weapons associated with them will certainly satisfy the more hardcore fans of the title.

At the same time Sledgehammer Games need to move fast to announce the new DLC pack as a big rival, Battlefield Hardline, is set to be launched in the middle of March and might diminish interest in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for a while.

Activision is also planning more multiplayer community events associated with the series and a new title in the series is already in development at Treyarch.
