David Hasselhoff’s “True Survivor” Music Video Has Hitler, Dinosaurs, ‘80s Hair, Amazingness

New single will be included on OST of short film “Kung Fury”
David Hasselhoff does the splits while singing in music video for “True Survivor”
When David Hasselhoff performed an ‘80s medley on American Idol last month, many thought it was the most random thing possible, since his singing career was never his strong suit. That was before they got to see the amazingness that is his latest music video, for a song called “True Survivor.”
Relax, The Hoff isn’t releasing a new album, or if he is, he hasn’t said anything about it just yet. The song is included on the official soundtrack of a short Swedish film called “Kung Fury.” It was funded through Kickstarter and is described as an ‘80s-style comedy telling the story of a martial arts expert cop from Miami who travels back in time to kill Hitler.
Yes, that Hitler. However, something goes wrong and the cop ends up with the Vikings. No word yet if he will ever get to carry out his mission of assassinating the Fuhrer.
Back to The Hoff’s video, it’s packed with elements from the movie, like Hitler, a Nazi army and a Viking, but it also heaps on top of that plenty of sick ‘80s imagery, fight scenes, and even a dinosaur.
It’s really the kind of video you have to see to believe it exists. Enjoy!
