A Gamer’s Week: August 2

This week, the review section of the Games department at Softpedia is offering one big review, for the first episode of the rebooted King's Quest, which might become an important title if the developers manage to keep up the quality level.
We also offer the Gamer Diary series, which is designed to offer a more in-depth look at the way a variety of titles interact with their audience.
The most recent entries offer a look at the recently finished Tour de France using the lens of Pro Cycling Manager 2015, the simulation title from Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive.

From Monday to Friday

On Monday, Bungie explained that gamers would be able to own their current Guardians from Destiny for a ten-year period, and Microsoft talked about the user interface changes that are coming to the Xbox One.
On Tuesday, Sledgehammer Games and Activision talked about the final piece of major DLC coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which is called Reckoning and is set to arrive on August 4, while CD Projekt offered more information on the New Game+ mode for The Witcher 3.
On Wednesday, Microsoft explained that it was planning to add an option to stream video games from a Windows 10 PC to the Xbox One, and the big update 2.0 arrived for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One versions of Battlefield Hardline.
On Thursday, Sony and Microsoft talked about the sales of the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, while the development team working on the new Doom talked about the lack of cooperative campaign for the shooter.
On Friday, Bungie offered more details on the dreadnought area that's coming to Destiny in The Taken King and the changelog for the 1.08 update for The Witcher 3 arrived and showed off some big tweaks.
On Saturday, Sony revealed a new voting system for the free games included in PS Plus for the PSN and Mighty No. 9 was reported to be delayed.
