Many of us remember the 216 day struggle that the family of
Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi went through as their son sat rotting in a
Mexican prison while suffering from PTSD. Our own president wouldn’t
even pick up the phone to help, despite the fact that Tahmooressi was
wrongfully imprisoned, but there was one person who did help, and he did
so very quietly – Donald Trump.
Trump’s act of kindness for Tahmooressi wasn’t widely
publicized, but Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren told her audience about his
charitable efforts, which lend great insight into the type of person
Trump really is, since there was truly no benefit for him at the time
other than to help someone in need. During Thursday night’s
On the Record,
Greta revealed that Trump sent Tahmooressi money after he was freed
from prison to help the former sergeant jumpstart his life again.
“In all seriousness, Donald did help out Sgt. Tahmooressi.
He sent him some money to help him jump start his life. Sgt. Tahmooressi
rotted in a Mexican prison for 214 days. President Obama wouldn’t even
pick up the phone to help,” Greta explained.
How cool is that? Such benevolence isn’t exactly a new thing for The Donald, however. As
Mad World News
previously reported, the real estate mogul personally arranged for the
family of a sick child to use his private jumbo jet to fly their son to
New York City for vital medical treatment after he was denied being able
to fly by the airlines. And again, this was done while he wasn’t vying
for votes.
Love him or hate him, it’s hard to deny that Trump has a big heart, and his own actions have repeatedly shown it.
