As Obama Dismantles Military, ‘Historic’ Army Chief Pick Raising BIG Concerns

In his latest controversial move, Barack Obama has announced his new nominee to head the U.S. Army, which is a historic first for the Pentagon. However, there’s a good chance that a lot of people aren’t going to like the kind of history being made with this one.
According to the Washington Post, Obama tapped a man named Eric Fanning as his nominee to replace outgoing General Ray Odierno to lead the Army. Fanning still has a long way to go before he’s approved, which must be done by a Senate majority, but the pick itself seems to be more political than anything else.
Eric Fanning greets Col. Dan Dant, 460th Space Wing commander, on June 4, 2013, at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. At the time, Fanning was the acting secretary of the Air Force.
Why? Well, like most everything Obama does, he appears to have made this selection based on Fanning’s personal preferences rather than his qualifications. Why do I say that? Fanning is the first openly gay man to be tapped for Army Secretary, or any head of the Armed Forces, which falls in line with Obama’s social engineering in the military that’s been taking place since he took office.
Obama lifted the 18-year ban on gays and lesbians openly serving by repealing the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, and he has otherwise dismantled the Army through a series of devastating cuts. In the past few years alone, he’s cut 80,000 soldiers from its ranks, and in the following years he plans to cut another 40,000.
Now, the men and women serving in the Army will have to answer to an openly gay leader, even if they have religious or other objections to it. While I have no doubts they will remain professional, it’s a giant slap in the face to not only Christians, but anybody who serves and might not be okay with having to take orders from a gay man.
Aside from that, with this political appointment comes the authority for Fanning to decide which generals the Army selects, the policies put in place, and basically everything involved with the branch. So an already weak Army now has to worry about its head possibly making decisions based on his ideology rather than practicality.
In other words, this appointment is beyond shallow and just shows how far Obama will go in order to put a stick in the eyes of the American people. I fear this pick will do nothing more than further damage the morale of an already flailing Army, and it was done only so that Obama could pander to the LGBT crowd, which he absolutely loves to do. Don’t you remember when he painted the White House rainbow colors using light after the Supreme Court decision? Unreal.
