Woman Passes By Horrific Car Wreck, Notices Something Important Overlooked

It’s difficult to admit, but when an accident occurs, we often continue along our way, not giving a second thought to the people involved in the crash. However, as one woman passed by a horrific car wreck, she noticed something that was overlooked by many that were stuck in the traffic delay, and it was heartbreaking.
Lisa Marie Maher
Lisa Marie Maher was driving to work in Dublin, Ireland, when she suddenly came upon a traffic jam due to a horrific car crash. The scene brought back the memory of her father’s death that had occurred four months prior, as he too had died as a result of a car accident. But after she came across this particular crash, she noticed something that irritated her to the core and knew she needed to speak out and address the problem.
Turning to social media, the model and dance agency owner desperately asked for people to “think of others before yourself.” In a matter of days, Lisa’s heartbreaking post had went viral and for good reason.
The post began, “I’m rarely confrontational as anyone who knows me will agree. But a woman this morning is fighting for her life in a hospital, her family is getting that dreaded phone call and rushing from where they are to be by her side.”
Knowing full well what she needed to say, Lisa continued, “Meanwhile, traffic is disrupted for a few hours while investigators do their job to try (to) get justice for the woman and give the family some answers. The whole city it seems has nothing more to care about than pissing and moaning about the traffic and how late they will be.”

People have grown so disconnected with one another and concerned with their own problems, we have forgotten how to empathize and sympathize with one another. Lisa, who knows all too well how it feels to receive the devastating news, has grown tired of the selfish public who seem more concerned with the inconvenience of the accident, instead of praying for those involved to be safe.
Explaining the eerily similar incident that had occurred when her father passed, she said, “My dad was killed 4 months ago on the road, at 6.30 pm rush hour traffic on a busy main road into the city, the whole area was closed for 12 hours and I saw posts on Facebook (of) people ranting and raving about the traffic, that it was a disgrace and guards were causing chaos closing the road. Well let me tell you about ‘chaos’…. while that was going on and people’s ‘lives were affected’ my life and my family’s life was being torn from the seams. A few hours later everyone got to where they were going and forgot that anything ever happened. Well I didn’t, and never will and neither will the people who witnessed what happened to him innocently crossing the road.”
Lisa and her father, Eugene.
Her advice for everyone is simple — act like a decent human being. She directed everyone to “wise up, we don’t know who this poor woman is, her family could be on your fiends list and see your pathetic dribble about the traffic chaos. Be smart and think of others before yourself. I speak from first hand experience. Show some decency!!!! Take a second to send love and strength to this woman and her family and be grateful you will get to where you going, just maybe a little late.”
The human race has managed to severely disconnect itself from one another. If we don’t start treating one another with some decency, I don’t want to imagine what kind of world our children will be living in. Instead of rushing to get what you need done, stop for a moment and find a way to help restore the world’s faith in humanity.
