Obama Suggests Cali. Attack ‘Workplace Violence,’ Look Who Shooter Called

Sean Brown
More information is coming to light about the possible motive behind Syed Farook opening fire at a healthcare facility in California. Earlier today, Barack Obama suggested that maybe the incident was “workplace violence,” but perhaps he should look at who Farook was calling before saying something like that again.
CNN is reporting that Farook was in contact with several individuals who have known ties to international terrorism, and that’s not even the worst part. It’s been reported that Farook wasn’t on any terror watch lists, which means that there was a serious intelligence failure somewhere along the line because the people he was talking to are being investigated by the FBI.
And two government officials said no red flags were raised when he’d gone to Saudi Arabia for several weeks in 2013 on the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to take at least once in their lifetime. It was during this trip that he met Malik, a native of Pakistan who came to the United States in July 2014 on a “fiancée visa” and later became a lawful permanent resident.
Officials had previously said neither Farook and Malik were known to the FBI or on a list of potentially radicalized people. Nor had they had any known interactions with police until Wednesday.
Yes, you read that right. The “peaceful” Muslim was talking with other “peaceful” Muslims, who planned on blowing up the world and were under investigation by the FBI, but somehow he slipped through the cracks.
More from CNN:
San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook was in touch over the phone and via social media with more than one international terrorism subject who the FBI were already investigating, law enforcement officials said.
It appears that Farook was radicalized, which contributed to his motive, though other things — like workplace grievances — may have also played a role, other law enforcement sources said.
Isn’t that something? Here’s a guy talking to known international terrorists, yet the FBI completely glossed over him, and he was able to carry out an attack.
It’s no wonder the American people have almost no faith in the government keeping them safe. Although I have to question, was this because of incompetence within the bureau or because of some ridiculous politically correct policy that forbid the agency from keeping tabs on Farook? I’ll leave that for you to decide.
