VP Of Design At Twitter, Mike Davidson, Stepping Down In February

Drew Olanoff
According to a tweet from Mike Davidson, Twitter is about to lose its Vice President of Design:
It’s a pretty high-profile loss for the company, that is hoping to pick up the pace when it comes to signing up more users with flashy new visually stimulating features hearts instead of stars, Moments (and the moving of Moments) and Polls (and the expansion of Polls) and better looking photos. Davidson previously spent time at ESPN.com, Diseny and Newsvine (NBC News).
No other information was given on what’s next for him or where Twitter will look for design direction.
With “nothing sacred” at Twitter as far as changes to features and design, perhaps the company will go fast and loose without need for this particular high-level spot.
We’ve reached out to Twitter for comment and will update if we hear more.
