Sean Brown
A former Secret Service agent, who protected both George W.
Bush and Barack Obama, isn’t a big fan of Bernie Sanders or his
supporters. In a blistering Facebook post, he offered them some advice
while, at the same time, showing what the “free stuff” that Sanders is
offering is really all about.
Agent Dan Bongino used the slightly popular hashtag #FeelTheBern to
take a shot at the Democrat presidential candidate’s supporters, sending
them a simple message – Don’t be a sucker.
The tweet linked to Bongino’s
Facebook
profile, where he uploaded a graphic that lays out the actual cost of
Sanders’ economic plan, which we all know would absolutely fleece the
middle class. Along with the photo, Bongino offered his take on what
Sanders is actually proposing and demonstrated why his plan is in stark
contrast to the values that made America great.
There is no such thing as “democratic socialism.” Democratic
socialism is the foolish idea that you can vote away the liberty of
others, as long as you do it slowly.
There is nothing “democratic” about voting to take away the economic
liberty of free men and women’s [sic] by taxing away more of their
income.
There is nothing “democratic” about voting to take away an
individual’s liberty to choose their healthcare options by turning it
over to government bureaucrats.
And there is nothing “democratic” about voting away a family’s freedom to choose where they can send their child to school.
Don’t be a sucker, don’t #FeelTheBern
Ouch! It’s hard to argue with him on this one. The people
supporting Sanders seem to think the government has some sort of money
tree, where it derives endless amounts of cash to distribute to the
masses. Meanwhile, it’s people like us picking up the tab.
After all, even if we
taxed
our nation’s wealthiest 1 percent at a 100 percent rate, we wouldn’t be
able to fund the government, as it’s running now, for longer than four
months. If you vote for Sanders and his plan, you’re voting to rob the
middle class of even more of their hard-earned money, which, as Bongino
said, isn’t “democratic” at all.
