Meaghan Ellis
Mustafa Carroll, director of the Dallas Council on American
Islamic Relations (CAIR), has made an alarming statement about Muslims
in America. For quite some time, many Americans have had their
reservations about Muslims, and Carroll’s statement is really going to
make things a lot worse.
Apparently, Carroll believes Muslims are exempt from the
laws in place to govern the United States simply because of their
beliefs. His statement, detailing their entitlement, only makes the
fears of Americans more justified. They do, indeed, believe they are
above the law.
“If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land.”
According to
US World Report,
Carroll’s sickening statement is probably the most shocking admission
yet, but to those who are well aware of CAIR’s role in defending
Muslims, the statement is nothing new. The Council on American Islamic
Relations (CAIR) advocates for Muslim rights in workplaces, schools,
government facilities, etc.
CAIR is the nation’s largest Muslim civil
liberties and advocacy organization. Their headquarters is located in
Washington D.C. They use lobbyists, the media, and action alerts to
promote a positive image of Islam in America during a time when Radical
Muslims (ISIS) in other parts of the world are crucifying children in
the name of Allah, and quoting the Koran (Though the Obama
Administration has a hard time calling it ‘Radical Islam’ for fear of
offending regular Muslims).
CAIR is always making headlines due to controversial
situations involving Muslims. In fact, CAIR is also representing the
Muslims who were terminated from
Cargrill Meat Solutions. However, Carroll’s statement only makes Donald Trump’s stance more understandable.
Although many Democrats oppose the idea of denying Muslims
entrance into the United States, the truth is, Trump probably has the
right idea. Many of these people have ulterior motives that could be
relatively dangerous for American citizens and non-Muslims.
