Apologist Says Whites Don’t Understand Islamic Culture, Gets Brutal Response

Following the catastrophe in Brussels, Belgium, Islam is once again a hot topic of discussion and debate. The arguments from apologists are asinine, but none have been quite as ridiculous as the one where the race card was recently played when a segment turned heated as a political commentator alleged that whites just don’t understand Islamic culture. As one would imagine, her comments received a justified and brutal response.
Appearing on a CNN segment about radical Islam, The Blaze’s Buck Sexton and political commentator Rula Jebreal took their gloves off, and things got intense rather quickly when the guest told Sexton that “white people like yourself” don’t understand Islamic culture. Sexton wasn’t about to let the comment slide, and he laid into Jebreal with a biting response.
After questioning whether he speaks Arabic, Jebreal told Sexton he needs to “understand” the culture, language, and what is “appealing” to radical Islamists who join the Islamic State, and that’s all it took for Sexton to set this apologist straight.
Sexton, who’s a former CIA analyst, began by giving Jebreal some insight into his resume, as he explained, “Respectfully, I served in Iraq and Afghanistan targeting people that were doing beheadings, that were building suicide vests. I mean, so I was doing that at a very specific level.”
The two continued to talk over each other as they went back and forth until Jebreal chose to take a page from the liberal playbook and threw race into the equation. “With all due respect, white people like yourself who doesn’t understand the language, doesn’t understand the culture and doesn’t even know the religion—” she said, which is a ridiculous accusation in itself.
“White people” struggling to understand Islamic culture in Brussels
Sexton was quick to put her in her place, as he interjected, “I don’t know what that has to do with trying to prevent people from blowing up buses and trying to annihilate — that was my job, that’s what I’m speaking to on this issue.
While Sexton’s response was a poignant one, there’s a few other things that should be pointed out about Jebreal’s assertion, which Mad World News previously covered. Apparently, this is one apologist who doesn’t have a clue about the Islamic culture and the Muslims she’s defending. She doesn’t realize that most Muslims have not read the Islamic “holy” texts because many cannot read or do not have access to the Quran.
As she questions the ability of others to speak Arabic, she neglects a detail about Muslims themselves — many don’t speak Arabic and even Arabic speaking Muslims do not speak the language of the Quran, as written Arabic contains a large amount of vocabulary and a more complex grammar than any of the dialects of Arabic that are spoken around the Middle East.
Furthermore, illiteracy plagues Muslims today. According to statistics, “Of the 1.4 billion Muslims, 800 million are illiterate (6 out of 10 Muslims cannot read),” so perhaps before she questions “white people” and their understanding of language and religion, she may want to do the same of her beloved Muslims.
Lastly, there is no language, culture, or religion that justifies blowing up innocent people. If there is, that’s a language, culture, and religion that has no place in a civilized world. It’s time to hold those doing the killing responsible and stop blaming “white people” for every transgression in the world today.
There’s an old saying, “You can’t control how some people will treat you or what they say about you, but you can control how you react to it,” and if anyone reacts by resorting to murder and terrorism, they are the problem — not those who didn’t bend to coddle their sensitivities. As long as this mentality continues to infect our world, things will only get worse. If you strapped on the suicide vest, you are the problem. If your “holy” teachings tell you to do it, your religion is the problem. Islam is the problem. It’s really as simple as that.
