Man Gets Bitten By Recluse Spider, Performs Some Home Medicine [VIDEO]

You’ve probably seen disgusting pus videos before, but this one is the true definition of revolting. Not only did this guy drain pus from his arm, but he went to great lengths to do so in an alarmingly unsanitary way. Nevertheless, the cringe-worthy clip has caught the attention of social media users everywhere.
According to the Daily Mail, YouTuber Nick Hanson decided to take matters into his own hands when it came to treating the spider bite he’d suffered. Apparently, Nick had been bitten by a recluse spider three days prior to the gruesome video. Nick was unaware of the bite until he began suffering complications from it.
Instead of seeking immediate medical attention, he decided to try to handle the ordeal himself. The four-minute clip begins with a clear view of Nick’s badly infected and reddened arm just before he poked a hole in the infected area with a pin. Then, he decided to go a step further and poke more holes in the area to help drain it.
Almost immediately after the pin penetrates different areas of his skin, pus began to ooze from the now-open wound and it flowed like a geyser. Red, yellow, and brown pus flowed from his arm like a running faucet. In fact, the pus oozed so fast, he barely had time to grab something to catch it. Pus began dripping all over the table as he worked to clean up the mess.
By the end of the video, the swelling was still evident, and it didn’t look as if the drainage had done much to reduce the swelling. Based on the sounds he made at the end of the video, the experience was horribly painful.
Whenever you suffer from something as severe as a recluse spider bite, you should always seek medical attention. Even after the area is drained, antibiotics will still be required to combat the lingering infection. Since Nick opened the wound with a pin, he could have exposed the wound to more infections.
If you don’t get professional medical treatment for something like this, you run a big risk of getting septicemia or blood poisoning. This could lead to organ failure, amputation of a limb, or possible death. Anyone can be bit by a spider, so everyone should be informed about the outcome of such a gruesome bite and understand it’s not something you should try to treat at home.
