The Ted Cruz sex scandal story is causing a firestorm of
posts on social media. The details are troubling for the Cruz
campaign with political pundits alleging this story is well-known among
insiders, and they’re confirming that Cruz’s sex scandal is no tabloid
tale. Three of the five alleged mistresses are known, and who they are
is just as shocking as the scandal itself. Perhaps more shocking,
however, is Cruz’s recent response to the allegations.
Ted Cruz’s sex scandal
story broke late last night,
and since it came from a tabloid, many were wary about the legitimacy
of the story. However, some known political pundits pointed out that the
sex scandal has been a looming story for over two weeks, hiding under
the Twitter hashtag #thething.
The
National Enquirer broke
the story on Ted’s alleged scandal, and this isn’t a first for them, as
they also broke the stories on Gary Hart, Jesse Jackson, and John
Edwards – just to name a few of the more infamous examples in politics.

According to the
Enquirer:
“Private detectives are digging into at least five
affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider. “The
leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House
campaign!” The ENQUIRER reports that Cruz’s claimed mistresses include a
foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney.
A
Breitbart News reporter says they had the story under wraps, and he is upset they got “scooped.” Even Bill O’Reilly tweeted late last night, and
Washington Times columnist Drew Johnson confirms 2 of the 3 mistresses are accurate.
According to
The Conservative Treehouse,
the three women identified as Cruz mistresses are CNN contributor and
former Cruz campaign communication director Amanda Carpenter, former
Cruz campaign consultant and Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson, and
Carly Fiorina campaign manager Sarah Isgur Flores. As of this writing,
only
Katrina Pierson is denying the allegations, saying she is only speaking for herself.
What is also puzzling is that back in June, the Cruz Super-Pac “Keep The Promise”
gave 500,000 to Carly Fiorina’s Super-Pac. This was so odd that the
Federal Elections Commission actually
made inquiries into the transaction. Carly Fiorina has become one of
Cruz’s biggest supporters, and with her campaign manager as one of the
alleged mistresses, some are connecting the dots back to this strange
transfer of funds.
Sadly, when people go into politics, their family members are fair
game. With this emerging sex scandal, people are putting the pieces
together about
Heidi Cruz’s meltdown back in 2005.
Around 10 p.m. on the night of Aug. 22, 2005,
the Austin Police Department dispatched Officer Joel Davidson to an
intersection a couple miles west of the Texas city’s downtown. A
passerby had called to report that a woman in a pink shirt was sitting
on the ground near the MoPac Expressway with her head in her hands, and
no sign of a vehicle nearby. When the officer arrived, he found the
woman on a swath of grass between an on ramp and the freeway. She said
her name was Heidi Cruz. [via

Others noted that the Ted and Heidi have spent much of their
marriage apart. Heidi worked in Washington D.C., while Ted went back to
Texas to start his political career. The
strain of that long distance relationship seemed
to cause much of Heidi’s breakdown, and now it’s speculated that these
alleged affairs were also possibly part of her “difficult time,” as Ted
calls it.
What’s more surprising than the accusations is Cruz’s
response. Ted has decided to point the finger at Donald Trump. Ted
issued the following statement via
Facebook:
I want to be crystal clear: these attacks are garbage. For
Donald J. Trump to
enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen
to do his bidding shows you that there is no low Donald won’t go. These
smears are completely false, they’re offensive to Heidi and me, they’re
offensive to our daughters, and they’re offensive to everyone Donald
continues to personally attack. Donald Trump’s consistently disgraceful
behavior is beneath the office we are seeking and we are not going to
follow.
The Conservative Treehouse also
makes a comment about the way the Enquirer presented the story, which
says volumes about how fireproof the story is legally:
“Firstly, they post pictures of the collective
mistresses. NE [National Enquirer] would never legally ‘go there’ if
they did not hold a very reasonable certainty the outlined players were
factually part of the story.”
Social media is on fire with #CruzSexScandal trending on
twitter with over 440,000 tweets this morning. Due to the huge response
this story is receiving all over social media, we are attempting to
present the known facts. If this story is not true, Ted Cruz should sue
for libel, which is the only way to combat a story getting so much
press. If it is true, it might be a good time for Ted to bow out
gracefully, as I’m sure his Christian supporters will feel extremely
betrayed by his transgressions after presenting himself as a man of high
moral caliber.
