Despite Thomas Rawls on track to return for the Seattle Seahawks' Week 11 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles, rookie C.J. Prosise will remain involved.
In fact, ESPN's Sheil Kapadia wrote that Prosise is the "favorite to lead the Seahawks in touches Sunday."Kapadia wrote that he expects former practice squad running back Troymaine Pope to rotate into the mix. He also said that the plan is to see "how much Rawls can do but ease him in."
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is elated to have the Notre Dame product on his team.
"We've been pumped up about him the whole time," Carroll told the Seattle Times.
"Ever since we had a chance when we went into the draft, we wanted to get that guy, for exactly what you saw tonight," Carroll said. "[General manager John Schneider] did a great job evaluating and figuring that thing out. We fell in love with him during the draft process, and then we just didn't have him."
Prosise is an RB2 for me against the Philadelphia Eagles. He has gone for more than 100 yards from scrimmage in two of his last three games. In the Seahawks' Week 11 victory against the New England Patriots, Prosise had 153 yards from scrimmage on 24 touches.
