Comic Keegan-Michael Key has splashed out $5.2 million on an apartment at Manhattan’s crazy “Jenga Tower.”
The star — who co-created sketch show “Key & Peele” with Jordan
Peele, the Oscar-winning scribe and director of “Get Out” — will move
into 56 Leonard St., the Real Deal first reported.
In December, Page Six spies had spotted Key — who’d just finalized a
divorce from his first wife — checking out a different $28.5 million
apartment in the building with a “mystery woman.”
But his reps lied to us at the time, insisting Key was “accompanying a pal who was interested in the space.”
Surprise! The newly purchased condo is listed in the name of his new
wife, producer and director Elisa Key, whom he wed in June, according to
documents seen by Page Six.
Homes at the skyscraper in Tribeca went on sale in 2016, and a penthouse
in the building sold to a mystery buyer for $47.8 million in 2017.
Last year, Leon Shaulov, a hedge-funder and ex-trader at disgraced Galleon Group, dropped $27 million on another penthouse.
