Kris Jenner is ready to be the next Yeezy in the family.
At the Vogue “Forces of Fashion” conference in New York City on
Thursday, the 62-year-old matriarch sat down for a conversation with
Vogue.com creative director Sally Singer to discuss the future of her
family business.
Singer asked if she would ever want to start her own fashion or beauty
line, pointing out that the momager has already “positioned [herself] as
a woman to speak on the wellness needs of women of a certain age.” The
head of the Kardashian-Jenner household quipped, “Menopause is a bitch.
Let me start with that.”
“I would love to do something in the near future,” she added, “I really am thinking about it.”
Kris went on to explain that her inspiration for starting a fashion line
comes from her 84-year-old mother, Mary Jo, who “will never walk out of
the house not done from head to toe.”
“She taught me to put your best foot forward, always look your best,”
Jenner explained. “I just want to pass that down to women everywhere and
remind everybody that we’re here because fashion is exciting and it’s
fresh and fun. … I have a better day if I feel like I’m looking my best
and trying to feel my best from the inside out.”
But the mother of six and grandmother of nine already has plenty on her
plate. “I’m a fireman,” she joked. “All I do all day long is put out
fires. For real. It’s wild.” Her days, she confessed, often begin at 4
a.m.
