NBC cancels 'Midnight, Texas' and 'Marlon'

NBC has canceled its supernatural drama Midnight, Texas and its sitcom Marlon after two seasons.

Variety and Deadline reported the shows won't return for third seasons because their viewer ratings were too low.

The small-screen adaptation of Charlaine Harris' novel Midnight, Texas is set to wrap on Dec. 28.

Starring Francois Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis and Peter Mensah, it is about a community of beings with special powers living together in a haven in Texas.

Marlon featured comedian Marlon Wayans as a man co-parenting his two chidren with his super-organized ex-wife, played by Essence Atkins. The ensemble also included Bresha Webb, Diallo Riddle, Notlim Taylor and Amir O'Neil. Its last episode aired in July.
